PreK Information

Head Start/Pre-K is a voluntary pre-school program offered through funds from the Federal government and the state of Tennessee.  Priority is given to children from low income families, children with special needs and English language learners.  Your child must be four years old on or before August 31, 2018 to enter the program.  A limited number of slots are available for three year olds at some locations.  The child must be three on or before August 31, 2018.  Services offered include hearing, vision and developmental screenings, social services and parent trainings.  There is no cost for any of these services.

Applications are available at the local schools, the health department and Family Resouce Agency located at 3680 Michigan Ave. Rd.
